Entering their 25th year, the Olympic-style games will feature more than 100 events across Polk County. The event is open to male or female athletes ages 50 and older. Jacinta Carroll, a professional water skier with Team Nautique, set two pending world jump records at the Ski Fluid Invitational in Polk City. Carroll jumped 194 and 198 feet. The Americans outlasted teams from China, Australia, Belgium and Canada. They scored 1,944.92 points to finish well ahead of second-place Australia at 1,794.94. The club will host its 33rd annual “Let’s Try Synchro” beginner’s clinic on Saturday at the Lakeland YMCA on Cleveland Heights in Lakeland.
